industry engagement 

The Centre for Subtropical Design promotes community and industry engagement regarding future urban development in subtropical SEQ. It does this through a number of key activities, including:

• consultation and research
• providing information on subtropical design on this web site
• subtropical Cities Conference every two years
• partnering with key stakeholders
• publications demonstrating aspects of subtropical design

-    Subtropical Brisbane through the Lens (2004)
-    Information Kit (2008)
-    Subtropical Design in South East Queensland Handbook for Planners,
      Developers and Decision Makers (2010)

• contributing to community consultation on the Chermside Centre Neighbourhood Plan (2008)
• awarding the annual Centre for Subtropical Design mecu Travel Bursary
• CSD representatives participate in community forums and events with information displays, pamphlets and verbal advice on subtropical design
